Clean bill of health

Tess made her first trip to the vet today and passed all her tests with flying colors. She didn't even flinch as she was being poked and prodded in every way imaginable.

Now that she's confirmed healthy, you know what that means. Exactly. A cheesy family portrait taken sitting in a patch of blue bonnets! I think its a law in Texas that you have to drag a toddler (or your pets) out in late March or early April and plop them down in a bed of fire ants and take pictures in the sea of wildflowers for posterity.

Neither of them will be wearing a Texas flag bandana or a cowboy hat that's too big. Boots are also out of the question. Don't worry though, my little brother is an attorney and I'm sure he can find a loophole in the law so I don't have to spend too much time in jail for violating the most sacred law in the great state of Texas.

Good luck finding a good patch. I was on Texas highways last weekend, and there were bluebonnets out, but the areas seemed smaller than usual. The news this morning said there were fewer than usual wildflowers out because of lack of rain. I hope you find some... I'd love to see the results!

I can't wait 'till my little brother get out of law school so I can start being a crazy outlaw like that.

If no boots or bandanas, there must be a horse or cow in the background. Rules are rules.

head on up to Brenham - best bluebonnet patches anywhere. You could then stop and get the girls fresh cones from the Blue Bell Creamery (just trying to think of another reason you'd have to drive out there).

Snow White...change of plans. I'm going to meet my family in Austin this weekend. But that means I'll be able to get pictures of Tess and Molly with my 6 month old nephew.

Okie...Its always good to have ONE lawyer in the family.

Duly Inspired...Fortunately I'm pretty good with Photoshop. They'll never know!

Nessa...I'm actually headed to Brenham next weekend for a guys weekend. We're going to be drinking beer, cooking a whole hog and shooting stuff (not necessarily in that order.) I'll take that over a tour of the creamery any day!

well there ya go - I only mentioned the creamery because I didn't know if you were familiar with Brenham, but it looks like you are!
